The Booknook - Game Development

Entrepreneurial Internship project

Goal: Create an early demo of a game within 3 month

I always wanted to create a game from scratch, and I finally had the ability to do so! lucky me!

The Booknook is a cozy puzzle game that you can play in your own speed and own duration. The meaning of the game is for it to be easy to pick up without too much macanics or storylines to remember.

The idea of the game is to try different chapters of a book, taking you to a small café, out in the woods or perhaps even inside a witch brewing room. Each chapter has it’s own story you need to solve in order to finish the chapter.

Don’t be shy! Grab your favorite snack and drink and unwind a little while getting lost in a book.

Made with Blender & Unreal Engine

Close ups and “painting” progress

I had a lot of fun and a huge learning experiance making this game!
Will I ever finish and publish it? Who knows?! I love the idea and the simple style so it’s not completely unrealistic.

This demo and game would not have made it this far without my amazing programmer MortMort - Who made it so easy for me to build the game in Unreal.

I also want to give a big shout out to Samie Maria Corell, who was my trust mentor and best cheerleader you could wish for.
