Whispers in pink - 3D animation
I have been qurious about this sort of stye for a while and what better way explore it more is there, than do a short perfume commercial?!
I learned so much about lighting, animation and psysics and I cannot wait to use this new knowleagde on some coon projects in the future.

First draft of Storyboard
To create the flowing fabric, I was using psycis and a good amount of patience.
When I animate the camera or moving light sorces, I usualy like the controle it by parent them up with an empty that I then can animate. Makes it a lot easier if I need to adjust the angle a little bit during production.
Might seem like there is a lot of light sorce but there is some lighting only the clouds inside, the clouds outside, the bottle and then lighting the entire scene. Might seem essesive but this gave me so much more control! Especially while working with volumes (the clouds).
Mockups and render WIPS

First attempt on working with clouds. In the beginning I struggled a lot with figuring out how to make the clouds look good and how they worked with light.

Another lighting test. At this point I was not aware that you could ask one lightsorce only to shine on one specefic object.

I finally found out how to ask lighsorce only to shine on one specefic object/collection. What a game changer!!

Light and colors are almost to my liking. A few more tweeks here and there and the final result is as I want.

Finishing the color and lights. Almost ready for final rendering.

Mockup of the scene.

Farbric added and physics implimented. At first I tried with a windsimulator, but even with a little wind, it felt almost too much. In the end the physics was enough alone

Workin on the bed and more cloud-placement plus beginning of light on the clouds. Bed found on BlenderKit with a few alterations and change of materials.

Colors on the clouds. Here I started to learn that you can make the lighting only light up on different objects and not the whole scene. What a game changer.

Almost done <3
The post-production tests I did before the final animation
I toggled a lot with different backgrounds and colors. I also experianced a few technical issues such as fireflies and weird shapes of the clouds.
Originally I had a different kind of product label in mind, and used the placeholder with my name while I was figuring out what I wanted. After consulting Samie, she offered to make the logo for me and that is what is used during the final animation.
Working with satin fabrics in real life and in Blender is very similare. It’s very slippery and has it’s own agenda until you realize how to exploid that. And in the end the result is super satisfying and giving!
